Moovit app introduces localized advertisements to connect businesses to commuters and those moving in large urban areas

The new platform enables advertisers to reach more than 1 billion users of the Moovit app in 3500 metropolitan areas in 112 countries worldwide. The project partners are Bank Hapoalim, Aleph Group, Benefit Media and Triboo for Italy.

Moovit, the world's most popular urban mobility app and an Intel-based developer of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) solutions, today announced the release of its new location-based advertising platform that will enable local businesses and major brands to reach users on the move in large urban areas in Italy and around the world. Users of the Moovit app will receive ads to discover and visit nearby businesses: stores, cafes, restaurants or banks, as was the case in Israel with Bank Hapoalim, the first company to test the new advertising platform. Supporting this new activity are numerous strategic partners, including Aleph, a world leader in digital advertising, and the Digital Transformation Factory Triboo for the Italian market. Using the Moovit app - available on Android, iOS and via the web - is free of charge and has already enabled more than 1.4 billion users in 112 countries around the world to get around easily to reach their destination by any means of public or shared transportation: from buses to electric scooters, from subways to cabs. Moovit is active in more than 350 Italian cities-from large metropolises such as Rome and Milan to smaller urban centers-has millions of monthly active users and hundreds of territorial partnerships with public transport companies and operators. Often, on the way to or from a public transport stop, users make last-minute purchasing decisions, such as having a coffee on the way to work or doing their shopping on the way home. Moovit's new advertising platform enables people on the go to receive advertisements with respect to their current location and route points during their journey: starting point, destination and exchange points. This enables global businesses and companies such as coffee shops or fast food chains to attract customers at the time they are most likely to act, whether they are waiting for a nearby bus or have just stepped off the subway to meet friends. Moovit users will see relevant content and the actual distance of the business from their location. In developing this platform, Moovit relied on several agencies to connect with advertisers around the world. Internet Media Service (IMS), part of Aleph Group Inc and a global partner of major global digital platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Snap, and Warner Music, will represent Moovit in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru, and Spain. Moovit has chosen Triboo-the Digital Transformation Factory listed on the Euronext Milan market-as the exclusive concessionaire to launch the advertising offering in Italy.

"Moovit's new location-based advertising platform enables small and large brands to reach users at the best time: when they are moving to a destination," says Yovav Meydad, Moovit's Chief Growth and Marketing Officer. "Our mission is to help people get around large urban areas efficiently and conveniently, and to this mission we now add the ability to offer them relevant information about nearby businesses."

"We are extremely excited to be able to represent a successful application like Moovit on the Italian territory. From an advertising perspective, we consider it an effective and unique product to be able to engage a potential customer in the vicinity of the point of sale. We have the ability to convey location-based display formats with the goal of increasing store visits." says Davide Totah Sales Director of T-Local. "We are working together with the Yovav team to develop new formats with customized reporting and tracking to better meet the needs of investors."
